【SideNotes】Laundry Mythos

We're told a thousand times that sunk-cost is overrated and are encouraged to get rid of it when making decisions. But there's a price you pay when you start over. Starting over may seem like an optimistic and inspiring narrative, but it consumes your energy and bravery little by little as you start over and over again. I was fascinated with that notion in the past, till I now realize I can't keep starting over all the time and living on this fantasy I made myself and letting it wear me out, and calling this courage. Whatever choices I make, it's time that I secure my identities with accumulative efforts. I'm not saying giving up is wrong, just saying it's not an excuse nor an answer to all.
